The Fun Stuff
Jaime’s experience in nutrition started long before receiving her formal education and credentials as a Registered Dietitian (RD), health coach, fitness professional, and a USA Triathlon certified coach. For 12 years she danced professionally with the Radio City Rockettes, as well as the Knicks City Dancers, Liberty Dancers, MTV’s The Daily Grind as well as many other productions. It was during this time Jaime saw the power of food and the benefit of proper nutrition in terms of performance, injury and body composition. Jaime started developing her own personal protocols she could use during the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in order to meet the high physical requirements of up to 6 shows a day.
Although retired from professional dance world, Jaime’s interest in athletics still remain. Racing as an elite amateur, she has become an accomplished triathlete with a number of age-group wins and podium finishes in the past 15+ years, as well as a finish in Kona at the Ironman World Championships, and recently took on the goal of adding Ultra-running to her resume by competing in a 103-mile trail race.
While things have slowed down athletically for Jaime since becoming a mom to her two daughters Annabel and Alexa, she believes it’s possible to still reach for the stars and set goals, re-defining yourself at every stage…
The Formal Stuff (The Biz)
Jaime started her own private practice in the hustle and bustle of Manhattan back in 2008 right before she joined forces with The Core Diet as the Head Sports Dietitian and Nutrition Program Director. Her interests still lie in using the knowledge she had gained from being a professional dancer and a nutrition expert to provide athletes with all the tools needed to compete at the highest level possible while living a healthy, clean life.
After relocating from the Big Apple to beaches of South Florida, Jaime decided to plant her roots once again. She founded and begin her private practice Jaime Windrow RD so she could connect and improve the health of her local community, especially in the field of pediatrics.
In 2012, Jaime came on board with Children of America as their nutritionist to re-create a healthier menu for their childcare and educational academy ranging from infants to pre-K. You can read her COA nutrition blog weekly that provides parents with healthy recipes and nutrition tips.
